Google Has The Internet Buzzing

The latest in social media options is Google’s Buzz and while they may be the leader on the web, the word is that this service needs a lot of work to become a serious competitor in the current market. With top ranking social media sites like Facebook, My Space and Twitter on top, there is no room for anything less than functional with competition like this.

Now sure if nearly all of your contacts are already on Gmail, then this is in all probability the social media site for you with easygoing shift of one data format to the another. Nonetheless, many more contacts are most likely already signed on to other networking sites and maintaining with these subscriptions can be too much already, therefore are they truly going to add additional subscriptions if they are anything less than outstanding? Chances are they will not!

The complaints began as soon as Buzz came on the scene with security issues and user control issues, because unlike other social media sites, Buzz wasn’t allowing people to filter who was in touch with them. Obviously, that is something that user’s felt was necessary.

Now of course, Google has a reputation of being the best of the best, so everyone was very taken back when it came to the issues that Buzz was facing. It seemed almost ironic for Google to put out something that needed as much improvement as Buzz did and still does. And while many SEO Companies were hoping that Buzz would make Search Engine Optimization simpler, the fact remains that Google’s real time search is actually currently the best option for SEO purposes, as it seems to produce faster results than a Buzz search at the present moment.

While the buzz on Buzz has been less than ideal so far, there is no reason to believe the Google will not improve the product and address all of the issues that have been identified so far. With the power of Google behind Buzz, it still has the potential to be a significant player in the social networking arena, but Google will have to work very hard to convince users to switch to Buzz from Facebook, Twitter and My Space.
