Video Marketing Case Study – Week 2
I tried to write this post yesterday, but there just wasn’t enough time. Yea, it was one of those crazy days. I’m sure you can relate.
It’s been a week since I began the video marketing case study and as I expected, the stats don’t reveal anything to me….yet. I’ve worked hard, but smart when creating these videos and I’ve developed a pretty good system for cranking these babies out fast.
I should have no problem consistently accomplishing my strategy of producing and submitting 10 internet marketing videos to 30 video sharing sites (300 total submissions per week) for 12 weeks. According to Google Analytics, the squeeze page I’m promoting with these videos had 32 visits this past week. Most of the results thus far have come directly from the video sharing sites. Only a couple visits have come from organic search (direct search engine traffic). I’ve picked up two subscribers this week. Remember I’m shooting for 50 per day, so I have a long way to go to say the least.

These results are not great, however I must keep in mind that it’s only been one week. Things should snowball once the squeeze page I’m promoting moves up in the organic search results for the keywords I’m targeting. If I can achieve first page Google listings for 30 long-tail keywords, then this squeeze page should receive a lot of visits each day.
I admit this won’t be easy. Locating highly trafficked, low-competition keywords will be the key to my squeeze page generating enough traffic to result in 50 subscribers per day.
If this case study is a success, I will reveal every detail of the process. Should be an interesting 12 weeks. I’m staying positive!
